Another dangerous global warming denier: David Letterman's mom

Maybe the apple really does fall far from the tree after all. Joining the list of global warming deniers is David Letterman's mom:

Dave’s mom noted the unseasonably warm temperatures plaguing his hometown of Indianapolis. “That’s that climate change,” Dave responded.”It’s the global warming. You know that, mom? Do you believe in the climate change, in the global warming?”

“Not really,” she said. Dave shook his head:

Any chance HuffPo will add Letterman's mother to the list of "dangerous global warming deniers?

A few highlights from Romney's visit to the Letterman show. Mitt managed to have a congenial visit with Letterman which is no small feat for a Republican.  Romney warns Letterman not to be too critical of Sarah Palin, "she has a rifle."  She may have a rifle but Leno brought her out as a ratings nuclear warhead for his first week back on The Tonight Show.   I think Letterman might regret his treatment of Palin and her family when he sees the  head-to-head ratings tomorrow.

Next, we have a clip showing Mitt's stay on the "The View's" "not so cozy couch"." ABC's Teddy Davis paints this visit as quite a bit more contentious than it comes across on this clip. He highlights an exchange between Joy Behar, Barbara Walters and Romney focusing on Romney's criticism of Barack Obama and the World Apology Tour (see first video embedded beneath the jump)  Davis suggests, in an editorial note, the segment calls to mind John McCain's visit to The View during the presidential campaign. Clearly the ladies of The View didn't give Romney the love and adoration they poured on Obama but I wouldn't say this was quite the "bone pickin" they gave John McCain either .

I have also added another highlight from the same show including a rather surprising comment from Joy Behar who declares Scott Brown and Mitt "hunky" I don't recall McCain getting the hunky praise though I seem to recall Barack Obama got a little love from the ladies on his good looks. Speaking of love, ABC reviews Romney's book and notes a stark contrast to Sarah Palin's memoir. Of course Mitt wasn't writing a memoir, he was writing a policy book, so apples and oranges there. The review ends with something of a prediction:

If history is any guide, however, Romney stands a decent chance of getting his party's nod. Although he was hurt last time by questions about his authenticity, Republicans have a long tradition of nominating second-time candidates: think Richard Nixon in 1968, Ronald Reagan in 1980, George H.W. Bush in 1988, Bob Dole in 1996, and John McCain in 2008.

I think we should let the Republican voters pick their candidate and there will be plenty of time for that after the midterms. The View videos are embedded beneath the jump.
