Uh Oh- Jerry Brown and/or aide slurs Meg Whitman as a "whore"

I am sure Gloria Allred will be outrageously outraged at this development:

In a private conversation that was inadvertently taped by a voicemail machine, an associate of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown can be heard referring to his Republican opponent Meg Whitman as a “whore” for cutting a deal protecting law enforcement pensions as the two candidates competed for police endorsements.

The comment came after Brown called the Los Angeles Police Protective League in early September to ask for its endorsement. He left a voicemail message for Scott Rate, a union official. Brown apparently believed he had hung up the phone, but the connection remained intact and the voice mail machine captured an ensuing conversation between Brown and his aides.

With evident frustration, Brown discussed the pressure he was under to refuse to reduce public safety pensions or lose law enforcement endorsements to Whitman. Months earlier, Whitman had agreed to exempt public safety officials from key parts of her pension reform plan.

“Do we want to put an ad out? … That I have been warned if I crack down on pensions, I will be – that they’ll go to Whitman, and that’s where they’ll go because they know Whitman will give ‘em, will cut them a deal, but I won’t,” Brown said.

At that point, what appears to be a second voice interjects: “What about saying she’s a whore?”

“Well, I’m going to use that,” Brown responds. “It proves you’ve cut a secret deal to protect the pensions.”

UPDATE: Sarah Pompei, spokeswoman, Meg Whitman 2010: "The use of the term 'whore' is an insult to both Meg Whitman and to the women of California. This is an appalling and unforgivable smear against Meg Whitman. At the very least Mr. Brown tacitly approved this despicable slur and he himself may have used the term at least once on this recording."

UPDATE 2: 10:58 PM LA Times changes their headline from to "Brown or Aide is Heard Slurring Whitman." When the Times first broke the story they had only reported that a Brown Aide had made the offensive comment.

A KCAL news report attributes the use of the word "whore" to Jerry Brown. I have listened a few times and it sure sounds to me like he used the word. Of course there will be no Gloria Allred press conference on this one. Nor can we expect NOW to protest Brown's demeaning remark, Whitman is a Republican after all.  This should be a game changer but heaven knows what will have an impact in California:

Another glorious Gloria Allred beat down

The Lid also has a comprehensive analysis of the interview so please read the full blow-by-blow here.  I would only add that at Megyn Kelly proves her case beyond a reasonable doubt that Allred is politically motivated in bringing a frivolous lawsuit that exposes her client to obvious legal jeopardy.  Nicky the illegal maid should hire Kelly to bring suit against Allred for malpractice.

Greta destroys Gloria Allred

Rarely does Greta go after a guest with both barrels, she reserves it for the truly egregious allegations made by a guest with an obvious motive. For those who missed this tour de force beat down of Gloria Allred, Greta shreds Allred's egregious allegations calling her actions "insane" and "delusional."  Allred's obvious motivation is to tear down hopes for Meg Whitman's election as the next California Governor.  That she would set up a client, "put a neon sign on her back" marking her for deportation to achieve that goal seems outright despicable.  Attorney's should protect their clients but Allred isn't really acting as attorney here she is an activist.  I have seen this a few times already and it doesn't get old.  For those who haven't seen this interview, enjoy:
