Grayson Proves Godwin's Law Applies to Congress

Via Politico - Representative Alan Grayson (D) FL, suggested in an after hours speech yesterday the Republican plan for health care boiled down to the sick should "die sooner". A few Republicans called for an apology, Grayson responded with a bit of theater and a statement that teeters over the edge of reason and sanity:
“I would like to apologize,” he said. “I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America.”

In Grayson's world, this will somehow improve his chances of re-election. Grayson seems to have forgotten the chief tenet of Godwin's Law , arguments of the reductio ad Hitlerum form prove your losing. Perhaps Grayson has no Jewish constituents who might find his invocation of the Holocaust just a bit offensive.

Congressman Tom Price (R) of Georgia had intended to introduce a resolution to admonish Grayson for his false claim the Republican health care plan relies on telling sick people they should "die sooner." Price decided to give Grayson room to apologize on his own. Well, we see now how Grayson handled the matter. Price has not yet introduced the resolution and did not commit that he would in the future. Republicans might want to leave this loon to self destruct on his own volition. He seems to be quite skilled in that respect.
H/T: Memeorandum.
