Hasan Attempted Contact With Al Qaeda and Visited Strip Clubs Before Attack

ABC News report points out U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with Al Qaeda. Details of Hasan's efforts appear to be coming from two American official with knowledge of classified briefings. As you will see in this report Hasan's connections to the terrorist organization continue to mount. He has been tied to the same mosque as two 9/11 hijackers.  He attended during the same period when a radical imam preached there. Despite the mounting evidence ABC ends this report saying, ”This seems to be a lone wolf with emotional problems.”




Fox News reports Hasan frequented a strip club in the days leading up to the attack at Ft. Hood. This stands in contrast to the different picture painted by his imam and family members who have described him as a devout Muslim, and one "who had difficulty finding a wife who would wear a head scarf and would pray five times a day."

Hasan's visit to the strip club is consistent with the activities the 9/11 hijackers enjoyed before committing their terrorist attacks.  Waleed M. Alshehri and Wail Ashehri partied with a prostitute two days before 9/11:

Two of the hijackers aboard Flight 11 that crashed into the World Trade Center - Waleed M. Alshehri and Wail Alshehri - spent Sept. 9 in the Route 9 hotel, sources said.

``She went there earlier in the day and then again later in the night,'' the driver said of the escort. ``She saw just one guy when I drove her over there.''

The escort, a white blond woman in her early 20s, had a 20 minute tryst in the hotel room with one of the hijackers. She was paid $180 in cash, the driver said.

``She freaked out when she saw his picture on TV,'' he said. ``She recognized one of the faces.''

 Hasan was reported to have been respectful in his behavior to women who worked at the strip club he attended, asking them questions instead of making sleazy comments.  He was immediately recognized by a woman he paid for a lap dance two nights in a row:

Hasan sat at a table in the back corner of the club, to the left of the stage on which strippers dance around a pole, employees said.

Jennifer Jenner, who works at Starz using the stage name Paige, said Hasan bought a lap dance from her two nights in a row. She said he paid $50 for a dance lasting three songs in one of the club's private rooms on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30.

"I remembered his face because it was the first lap dance I [gave] to a customer while working here," she said. "When I saw his face [Friday] on TV, I jumped out of bed, I knew it was him."

 There are numerous reports the 9/11 hijackers engaged in such behavior prior to completing their attacks.  Hasan appears to have followed a similar pattern particularly in the days right before the shootings at Ft. Hood.  Did he study the actions of the hijackers or is partying in strip clubs and paying for lap dances part of the Al Qaeda protocol?  Perhaps it is just impulsive but in any case Hasan's behavior prior to the shootings is eerily similar to the 9/11 hijackers.
