Signs of the Times

Busy day today but I rounded up a few items of interest. First off, couldn't pass up this Michael Ramirez cartoon. He is spot on as always.

Via Memeorandum   Too bad I don't need a urologist:
Cassell, who has practiced medicine in GOP-dominated Lake County since 1988, said he doesn't quiz his patients about their politics, but he also won't hide his disdain for the bill Obama signed and the lawmakers who passed it.

In his waiting room, Cassell also has provided his patients with photocopies of a health-care timeline produced by Republican leaders that outlines "major provisions" in the health-care package. The doctor put a sign above the stack of copies that reads: "This is what the morons in Washington have done to your health care. Take one, read it and vote out anyone who voted for it."

Would the Founding Fathers like ObamaCare? Dan Henninger has a great article in the WSJ and elaborates on the overreach by Democrats in the video below:

  1. Henninger sounds calmly hopeful. (If that word has not been destroyed forever, which I fear might be the case.)

    Seems like somebody's been listening.

  2. You are so right about the word hope, but in this case Henninger does seem hopeful in the pre-Obama definition of the word. I have read a number of articles lately that seem hopeful as well. It will be a long haul but ultimately worth it. I also fear that the American people needed to find out what can happen if they are propelled to the polls on smoke and mirrors. If that lesson is learned perhaps this will have been worthwhile.
