"Quit whining and start leading"

So sayeth Lou Dobbs in an interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly. Dobbs reacts to the "breaking news" Obama will spend 9/11 at a Pentagon service which will take him safely away from any potential Ground Zero protests. No doubt about it -Obama doesn't do well when he is not safely surrounded by adoring SEIU members or MSNBC hosts. If he can't be Mr. Popularity he will turn a national holiday into a dog and one trick pony show. So presidential isn't he?

At this point I have low expectations Obama will have anything memorable to offer on September 11th. Dobbs seems to agree:

As an aside, Obama has plenty of reasons to whine.  Allahpundit writes:
In four years of blogging at Hot Air, I can’t remember a day where things looked as hopeless for Democrats as they do this afternoon, from terrible polls to gruesome projections to harrowing statistical models to various and sundry op-eds predicting total catastrophe.
Unfortunately for Obama, this grim news is entirely self-inflicted.

  1. I wish Obama would quit whining and start leading too! Where was George Bush when 9/11 happened? Standing on top of the rubble shouting, "I hear you!!!"
